Pro-rated Leave Entitlement
- Our system can manage pro-rated leave entitlements, such as Annual Leave, even if a new employee joins mid-year.
- In the leave settings, you can choose the leave earning method, either monthly or annually on January 1st, based on your company policy.
- Once all leave settings are configured, our system will automatically manage them.
For example, an employee who joined on February 1, 2021, with a monthly pro-rated Annual Leave entitlement, will have their leave calculated and managed by the system.
In our example, this employee’s annual leave balance is 2.67 days, which means he cannot apply for more than 2.67 days. If he submits, our system will detect automatically and fail to submit leave. It is the same for other leave types such as compassionate leave, sick leave, hospitalization leave, maternity leave, etc.
But our system also allows employees to apply for leave that exceeds their balance.
To enable this, simply adjust the leave settings to allow a negative leave balance. For example, if the entitlement for unpaid leave is set to 0 and no balance is shown, the employee can still submit an unpaid leave request.
